OIZ offers the possibility to participate in a unique Detailed Clinical Models (DCM) masterclass. A great opportunity if you want to conform to national and international developments, without being limited to specific standards or technology. A DCM includes medical knowledge and scientific expertise. Data elements are provided with unique codes, for example Snomed CT and LOINC codes.
The masterclass provides an overview of the background and history of DCM, such as its origin in Intermountain Health in the United States. The session also covers alignment with HL7 templates, 13606 / OpenEHR archetypes and other developments. You will experience first hand what it means to build a DCM. This includes systematic searching and organising scientific data, Snomed CT code and concept retrieval and the use of so called organizers to use a DCM within your EHR.
After developing DCM content, modelling is the next point of interest. This includes modelling using Unified Modelling Language (UML), HL7 clinical statements, 13606 archetypes and XMI transformations. In conclusion the session will discuss issues concerning practical implementation. These issues also include adjusting DCM for the Dutch AORTA infrastructure and an overview of developments in DCM, HL7, CEN and ISO.
The Masterclass will be organised by Results4Care in cooperation with the Dutch DCM foundation. In the list below you will find (Dutch only) more details on the programme and the necessary forms. If you wish, you may suggest a subject to describe in a DCM during the session. At this time concepts like blood pressure and the Glasgow Coma Scale are already developed within DCM and will be handed out during the session.
